Advrty raises SEK 5M for a VR-based advertisng platform

Advrty, a Stockholm, Sweden-based adtech startup announced raising SEK 5M ($570k) in fresh equity funding.

The money comes at SEK 18M ($2M) valuation from a range of local investors from Stockholm, Helsinki and Singapore, including Pontus Dahlström and Daniel Daboczy (the founder of FundedByMe).

Advrty, founded at the beginning of 2017 by CEO Niklas Bakos, has developed an advertising platform for games and apps in virtual worlds that can be served through Mixed Reality glasses.

The platform enables ads to be seamlessly integrated in their VR worlds, with anything from large billboards to smaller product placements on objects, where they are dynamically delivered.
