B!BB Instruments gets SEK 4.6M for a cancer detection tool.

B!BB Instruments, a Lund, Sweden-based medical technology startup announced raising SEK 4.6M ($530k) in an equity investment round.

The money comes from Almi Invest (with almost SEK 1M contributing), Swedish Growth Fund as well as from local business investors, including Christer Fåhraeus, and will be used for launching the company's product into the Nordic market.

B!BB Instruments, founded in 2013 by Dr Charles Walther, cancer researcher at Lund University, and led by CEO Fredrik Lindblad, develops a proprietary and innovative portfolio of biopsy instruments under the brand name EndoDrill® for early detection of cancerous tumors.
