Camment, a Helsinki, Finland-based startup working on a video software development kit (SDK) that unifies the first and second screen experience, announced raising EUR 650k ($756k) in a new investment round.

Jari Ovaskainen led the round with participation from existing investors Superhero Capital, Veturi Growth Accelerator, Jari Litmanen, Petteri Koponen, Jarkko Nieminen and several others. The investment brings Camment’s total funding to EUR 2M and will help the company expand its sales team as well as accelerate product development. Ovaskainen will join Camment’s board of directors.

Camment, led by CEO and co-founder Tomi Kaukinen, developed a patent pending technology and an SDK that can be easily integrated into all digital and linear medias, enabling clients to provide a social layer on top of their streams, clips or linear broadcasts where audiences can video chat, order food or face-swap with actors in TV shows while watching. The company operates from Helsinki with local offices in Singapore, New York and Barcelona.
