Freska, a Helsinki, Finland, provider of an online marketplace for home cleaning services, announced raising an investment of EUR 2M million ($2.2M).

The backers include Swedish VC Spintop Ventures, Norwegian Momentum Partners as well as Nordic tech entrepreneurs Lasse Smedsvig and Harald Aalvik, founders of Adams Matkasse in Norway, and Olli Sirkiä, co-founder of Finnish SaaS success Leaddesk.

Freska also received public grants and loans from Finland’s public innovation fund Tekes as a part of the financing. The financing will be used to acquire more customers in the Nordic region and further develop Freska’s unique tech platform.

Freska, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Sebastian Heinrichs, has developed a platform for the on-demand home cleaning space, as it offers cleaning services for homes and offices in Finland and Norway.

Prior to this investment, Freska closed a round of undisclosed funding from Momentum Partners in June 2016, when it also acquired a Norwegian competitor, Wipe.
