Ghostlamp, a Rejkavik, Iceland-based company providing a marketplace for social influencers, raised a $1M financing round.

The money comes from the local investment company, Brunnur, with a further $1 million additional funding option at a minimum, along the continued expansion of the company.

Ghostlamp, founded in 2014, developed a marketplace that enables companies and agencies to mobilize social media influencers anywhere in the world. Advertisers create a campaign on Ghostlamp's website, and Ghostlamp sends out an invitation to relevant social media activists and invites them to participate in the campaign, approving creatives, creating great content for the advertiser and publishing on their social media.

The company now has about 6 million agents across the globe and intends to open more offices in Los Angeles and Barcelona.

Prior to this transaction, Ghostlamp received outside funding from Vetrargil, in the summer of 2016, and from Pipar / TBWA in 2015.
