Glo gets Google as a strategic investor in the company, in a new investment round of $15M.

Glo, a Lund, Sweden and Sunnyvale, USA-based company manufacturing advanced LED products using nanotechnology, raised SEK 120M ($14.7M) in a new equity raise coming from Google. The deal was made for 13% of the company at a $110M valuation.

Glo, founded in 2010 at Lund University’s Nanometer Structure Consortium by Professor Lars Samuelson, works for the development and commercialization of advanced LED products using nanotechnology.

The company has raised about $70M in venture money, from investors including FAM, Teknoinvest, Wellington Partners and Agder Energi Venture.
