Listed Chinese company GoerTek announced will invest 10 mln euro (about 70 mln yuan) to set up Anima, a joint venture in Sweden. The investment in Anima is made together with an unnamed investor and with former employees from Sony Mobile: Fredrik Rosén (CEO), Pål Borge (COO), Sarandis Kalogeropulos (CCO) and Thomas Sandelius (CPO)

The newly formed company will have about 13.33M euro in registered capital and the Chinese will hold about 75% of the company.

Anima's objective is to provide design, research and development and sale of IOT products, wearable devices, intelligent household consumer electronics and entertainment products.

The announcement comes after the one from 2014, when GoerTek Inc. acquired the majority shares of the Danish-based company Dynaudio - a significant player in the international speaker market.

Following, GoerTek Inc. has acquired the Danish audio company AM3D and established its first European headquarters and audio technology research centre in Denmark starting with January 2016.
