Karhia, a Vantaa, Finland-based startup developing an electrical hair trimmer for dogs, closed an investment round of 171.658 EUR ($195k) in Invesdor. The campaign, which was started on May 2017, gathered 116 investors which oversubscribed more than 3 times the initial target investment of EUR 50k.

Karhia, founded by brothers Markus and Sami Ristaniemi, has created an electronic stripping machine for wire haired dogs. Until today, stripping is done by hand as there have been no motorized devices for the job. Karhia electric coat stripper saves time and money, improves the grooming quality and eases the stress on hands.
