Karma raises more money, expands its food app internationally.

Karma, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing a food waste service, raised a SEK 30M ($3.6M) investment round.

The backers include e.ventures and eEquity and the money will be used for international expansion, in markets the company still makes researches for.

Karma, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Hjalmar Ståhlberg Nordegren, has developed a service that helps restaurants, cafés and grocery stores to reduce food waste. The company claims to have 100,000 registered users.

Prior to this transaction, Karma raised a total of about $1M in outside equity investment from a multitude of local investors, including Mattias Miksche, Daniel Frodin, Daniel Laurén, Lars Lindgren or John Siwers.
