MediCheck raises SEK 4.7M three months after started its STING incubation.

MediCheck, a Stockholm, Sweden-based medtech startup announced raising SEK 4.7 ($530k) in a seed round of investment.

The main backers are Soläng Invest and Propel Capital, as well as a number of local angel investors, including Mattias Hällström, Martin Belin, Kristofer Klerfalk, Klas Pekkari, Bo Kaunitz, and Fredrik Levin.

The capital will be used to establish Medicare Check on the Swedish market.

MediCheck, founded in 2016 by Christian Tärnholm and CEO Thomas Ehrengren, has developed an online platform that makes it easy to anybody with a chronic disease to get a doctor appointment, without having to need a prior referral. The meetings are conducted via video calls or messages and MediCheck works with a network of about 200 doctors.

In February 2017, MediCheck announced being accepted into the STING Incubator, occasion which raised the opportunity to get access to an investment of SEK 300 000 from Propel Capital.
