NA-KD, the Göteborg, Sweden-based fashion retailer, announced it raised a financing round of 14M euro. The money comes from Scandinavian VC firms eEquity and Northzone and will be used to further support the accelerated growth of the company - mainly to improve the customer experience, offer a broader inventory, and marketing. The company will also open a Stockholm office and a central depot in the Netherlands, which will serve customers in Europe.

NA-KD, founded in April 2015 and operational in December 2015, is e-commerce entrepreneur Jarno Vanhatapio’s third start-up. Since then, the company has achieved impressive traction, with annual net revenues of 22MEUR (220 MSEK), and sales to over 140 countries.

During 2016, the company has made a series of acquisitions of smaller e-retailers for growth purposes. Prior to this financing round, NA-KD has raised $6.5M from angel investors such as Lena Apler, Magnus Emilson, Jonas Mårtensson, Mikael Söderlindh and Leif Jägerbrand.
