RFRSH Entertainment raises €7.2M in a VC-led investment round.

RFRSH Entertainment, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company providing esports agency services, announced raising a €7.2M ($8.1M) investment round.

The backers include local VC company, Creandum, as well as Tommy Ahlers, David Helgason and the Supercell founders. The money will be used to further build on position as an esports media house and live entertainment producer.

RFRSH, founded in 2016 by Nikolaj Nyholm, is a media company providing commercial and marketing strategies for companies looking to enter and succeed in the esports market. The company already provides commercial management and performance optimization for 3 of the world’s strongest CS:GO (Counter-Strike) teams: Astralis, Heroic and GODSENT.

Prior to this transaction, RFRSH raised €4M in seed investment from Sunstone and a few local investors.
