TinyApp closed EUR 160k in seed investment for a mobile education solution.

TinyApp, a Helsinki, Finland-based startup company specializing in mobile early childhood education services, announced completing a €160,000 ($187k) financial round of seed capital.

The backers include angel investors from three countries - in addition to the company’s current investors Tapio Äijälä from 2 Sides Consulting Oy and Terhi Vapola from VV Holding Oy, new investors are Pasi Joronen from Polkuni Oy,  Swedish investment company Vitgrund and private investors Kristiina Hautakangas, Arto Kiema, Olavi Mertanen, Yrjänä Raitanen and Rayyan Alaql from Saudi Arabia.

TinyApp, founded in 2016 by CEO Taina Mikkola, offers an easy and secured mobile application to strengthen the communication between teachers and parents. Tinyapp makes child’s learning path and teacher’s pedagogical expertise visible by providing means for confidential and daily communication.

The investment money will be used to speed up the development and commercialization of the service.
