Tonsser, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup providing a mobile social network for football, raised €2.5M euro in fresh equity funding.

The backers include existing investors, SEED Capital (lead investor) and Wellington Partners, as well as Arthur Kosten and un-named professional football players.

Tonsser, founded in 2013 by Peter Holm (CEO) and Simon Hjære, has developed a mobile social network for young soccer players. Users can keep track of their stats, improve their player rating, be inspired on how to improve and engage with their community.

The app has 380,000 users registered from France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway and with the new investment the company intends to expand to the UK.

Prior to this transaction, Tonsser raised about $2M in outside equity investment in 2016.
