As we entered into 2020, we had a look at the aggregate numbers for 2019 - below you can find an overview of the private investments made in Sweden. Please keep in mind that this is an intermediary report, as there is usually a 2-3 months lag (sometimes 6-12 months) until we catch up with all the deals. However - the data from the below graphs is updated in real time, so a closer to up to date overview is depending on the time you access this article.

As always, the data gathering is subject to methodologies*, public availability and companies willing to update about their fundraising deals. To our knowledge, Nordic 9 is one of the more comprehensive data set you can find about the Nordic private deals.

Total investment value: $2.2bn (vs $1.6bn in 2018)
Total number of investments: 412 (vs 498 in 2018)
Median Investment: $1.4M (vs $1.1M in 2018)
Average Investment: $6.6M (vs $3.9M)
Secondary / M&A deals: 229 (77/152)


*The investment data is presented on as is basis for companies transacted on the Nordic private market and doesn't consider debt instruments, grants and ICOs. Secondary transactions include equity sale to a secondary investment manager.

Data is collected via customised software from primary and secondary sources and cross-verified from multiple places, including governmental data providers such as Bolagsverket, Virk and Brønnøysund. Information is manually curated and translated in English for 5 different countries and languages, tracking more than 10,000 entities from the Nordic area.
