Global Health Night 2019

Global Health Night is an event that brings together students, researchers and global health professionals who all share a passion for improving health and achieving health equity for people worldwide.

The event was initiated in the spring of 2015 by a group of students at Karolinska Institutet with a burning interest for global health. A project group was created, comprising of students from a wide range of study programmes and global health-related student organizations. From then on, Global Health Night has expanded and been organized in Stockholm, Uppsala, Lund, Umeå and Gothenburg!

Global Health Night 2019 will be hosted in Stockholm with the theme “An Excess of Lacking Resources”. The evening will comprise of keynote talks related to the theme by professionals from different fields and backgrounds, an interactive panel discussion and a mingle with invited NGOs, speakers and researchers.


This year’s event is hosted by Karolinska Institutet in collaboration with Mother and Child Association (MACHA), Swedish Organization for Global Health (SOGH), IFMSA Sweden, Swedish Institute for Global Health Transformation (SIGHT) and Svenska Läkaresällskapet
