Stockholm Food Movement will meet for the last time this year on Wednesday, November 15th with four excellent speakers. Come and learn more about the new plant-based food logic that will help us eat within planetary boundaries, how we can distribute this food as sustainably as possible, and finally how to capture both raw materials or ready to eat meals before they become unnecessary food waste.
The evening will begin as usual with doors open at 17.30 and presentations starting promptly at 18. Please feel free to bring yummy sustainable treats to share! If you arrive early, pop into Urban Deli around the corner and pick up some treats!
Speakers:

Food For Progress – Food for Progress is driving a new food logic all over the world by co-creating, developing and producing food that allows us to thrive within the planetary boundaries. Their brands include Oumph! (made from soya beans) and Beat (from organic Swedish fava and kidney beans). They further work across markets and channels with partners such as O’Leary’s, Max Hamburger, Norgesgruppen and more to drive sustainable growth.

MOVEBYBiKE – MOVEBYBiKE is a logistics operator specialized in city logistics using professional electric cargo bikes. Hauling up to 300kg, they ensure safe and timely deliveries in cities all over Sweden, year round – no matter the weather.

ResQ Club – ResQ Club is an app that allows you to find high-quality restaurant food that would otherwise go to waste and buy it at a reduced price. Operating in four countries, over 350 000 meals have been ResQ’d from over 1 750 restaurants since January 2016!

Sopköket – Sopköket turns surplus food into delicious meals. From supermarkets to small boutiques, this startup collects food to be thrown away and supplies Fryshuset school in Husby with school lunches – a first in the world! Filip, the Founder of Sopköket, will shine some light on the current food waste situation in Stockholm, his learnings on scaling, partnerships and failing, as well as the opening of Sopkökets upcoming Pop-Up restaurant in Söderhallarna.
