2021.AI secures strategic investment from Valcon.

2021.AI, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company providing software as a service solutions based on artificial intelligence, announced securing DKK 8M ($1.23M) in strategic investment.

The money was provided by the Danish management consulting companies Valcon and QVARTZ.

In addition to this funding, the company raised a loan from the Danish Growth Fund (Vækstfonden), getting the money total to DKK 20.7 million (app. USD 3.2 million).

Valcon's deal rationale is achieving strong synergies in their combined business model - Valcon’s consulting services help companies ensure efficiency, primarily through optimised data usage, while 2021.AI provides the underlying AI platform technology and data sciences expertise to warrant a successful AI implementation.

Valcon, founded in 2000 and led by CEO Thomas Fischer, operates in more than 40 countries from offices based in Copenhagen, Göteborg and Stockholm.

2021.AI, founded in 2016 by Mikael Munck, is an AI technology company providing everything from AI strategy to full implementation of their own solution, the Grace AI Platform.

Prior to this deal, 2021 raised $2.7M in investment from Danish angel investors and secured a loan from from the Danish Growth Fund (Vækstfonden) in 2018 to support its global expansion.
