3DBear secured €1.5M in a capital funding round from US-based Brand Capital International and from Finnish Oppiva Invest.
3DBear, a Helsinki, Finland-based company providing educational services with the use of 3D Design in Augmented Reality, closed a total of €1.5M ($1.8M) in capital funding.
Post deal, the Chair of the Board Jussi Kajala will be the new CEO of 3DBear, whilst Laura Koponen, CEO of the innovation consulting company Spinverse, will be appointed the new Chair of the Board. Fredrik Lucander (VP, Marketing) of home delivery app Wolt and Raghunath Koduvayur (Head of Marketing and Communications) of IQM Quantum Computers, building quantum computers, will also join as new members in the Board of Directors. Former CEO and founder Kristo Lehtonen will continue as a member of the Board of 3DBear.
3DBear, founded in 2016 by Kristo Lehtonen, develops virtual learning environments for teaching as well as digital applications for learning. Learning solutions are based on 3D technologies, such as augmented reality, virtual reality and 3D printing.
3DBear previously raised $1.5 million in 2018 out of a total of $2.8M.
