byFounders announced the completion of byFounders Collective, a $100M investment fund for seed and Series A rounds in the Nordics.

byFounders, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based venture company, announced that its fund, byFounders Collective, reached the completion of €100 million ($112M) aimed for backing early stages opportunities in the Nordic market.

byFounders was founded in 2017 by Eric Lagier and Tommy Andersen, when they announced the raising of a 10-year investment fund of DKK 750M ($120M), looking to support about 40 companies from the Nordic area. The first part of it, DKK 250M, was closed in 12 months.

To date, the venture firm has backed 11 companies, one of which with Norwegian roots (SafetyWing) and another one based in USA (Qurasense).

ByFounders Collective's next three years scope will be 30 investments in Nordic and Baltic tech startups, mainly early stage - seed and series A rounds. The fund is supported by a range of Nordic LPs including former founders, institutional investors, such as Isomer Capital, Draper Esprit, Digital Garage, Danske Bank, as well as a number of family businesses from the Nordics.

byFounders operates mainly from Copenhagen and is also active in San Francisco, USA.
