Capidea Management announces the completion of a new investment fund at $120M.

Capidea Management, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based private equity fund making long term investments in competitive small and medium-sized companies, announced reaching a first closing of its third private equity fund, Capidea Kapital III K/S with commitments of DKK 750M ($120.1M).

The money comes from a group of new and existing Danish and international investors while the fund has a target of DKK 1bn.

Capidea, founded in 2006 and led by four partners, Erik Balleby Jensen (CEO), Jens Thøger Hansen, Nicolai Jungersen and Martin Jørgensen, aims to make buyout investments in competitive small and medium sized companies in Denmark.

Capidea Kapital III will continue the strategy of the previous two funds of targeting control and highly value-accreting investments. The last fund was closed on March 2012, with a capital commitment of DKK 725 million.
