Idekapital is a new investment fund looking to invest in Norwegian b2b software startups.
The fund has available for investment NOK 522M ($68M) and it was oversubscribed from an initial target of NOK 400M ($52M). Its backers include Oslo Pension Insurance, which contributed with NOK 200M, Norwegian chess player Magnus Carlsen as well as local business profiles Kristian Siem and Jan Haudemann-Andersen (Datum).
Idekapital is looking to write checks between NOK 30 to 100M and to fund aspiring Norwegian B2B software and tech companies with inherent global potential, scalable business model and talented management. The company already backed Mix Move Match and Wheel.me.
