Ekkono secured $2M from Lindeblad Ventures, Walerud Ventures and Almi Invest.

Ekkono Solutions, a Varberg, Sweden-based company providing machine learning solutions for IoT (Internet of Things), announced that it closed a funding round of €1.8M ($2M).

The round was led by the Swedish family office Lindeblad Venture, and supported by existing investors, Walerud Ventures and Almi Invest.

Ekkono, led by CEO Jon Lindén, is a software company providing solutions based on research made at the University of Borås, Sweden. The company's product is a programmable embedded software that runs onboard connected devices, so called Edge Machine Learning, which is licensed to other companies as toolkits that facilitate use cases like predictive/condition-based maintenance, self-configuring products, performance optimization, and entirely new business models.

Prior to this deal, Ekkono announced completing a SEK 7.5M ($930k) capital infusion in the second part of 2017.
