Fatshark acquires Swedish game developer A Sweet Studio AB.

Fatshark, a Stockholm, Sweden-based game development studio, announced in a press release the acquisition of the Swedish game developer A Sweet Studio AB.

The financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed. The deal includes all brands in the A Sweet Studio catalogue and all nine employees will join the Fatshark Stockholm office where they will work on more content for the game Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Following the acquisition, Fatshark will have around 80 employees.

Fatshark, founded in 2008 by Joakim Wahlström, Martin Wahlund (CEO), Rikard Blomberg and Johan Jonker, has become famous for developing Vermintide, released in 2015 and sold in over 2 million copies. The company launched Vermintide 2 in March 2018 and has so far achieved PC sales of approximately 1.5 million copies worldwide. In 2017, Fatshark was breakeven with revenues of around SEK 83M ($9M)

A Sweet Studio AB was founded in 2014 by gaming veterans led by CEO Gustav Linde. The company had about SEK 4M ($450k) in sales in 2017 and was owned by Johan Hernmarck through its company Provider Investment.
