FundingPartner secures $2.2M from DNB and Schibsted.

FundingPartner, an Oslo, Norway-based company managing an loan crowdfunding platform, announced in a press release that completed a NOK 19.5M ($2.2M) capital investment round.

The financing was supported by investors including DNB (which contributed with 8M) Stratel (4M) and Schibsted (7.5M) and puts a company valuation of NOK 80 million.

FundingPartner, founded in 2016 by Geir Atle Bore, Tor Smedsrud and Marius Borthen, developed an online platform via which they can intermmediat loans. Loan seekers must have two years of operating history and pass a credit model of 37 points. The company, which got oits operating licence issued in the fall of 2018, has issued six loans totaling NOK 14 million, and they have registered 3,300 private investors and 1000 companies who are notified of new loans they can provide.

Prior to this round, FundingPartner raised mondey from Founders Fund. Following it, the ownership structure of the company is as follows:
Entrepreneurs and employees: 65.7 percent
DNB: 10.1 per cent
Schibsted: 9.4 percent
Stratel: 5.0 percent
Funds Fund II: 4.9 per cent
Others: 4.9 percent
