GoStudent, a Vienna, Austria-based digital educational platform operator, announced completing a €70 million ($82M) funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Coatue together with existing partners Left Lane Capital and DN Capital.

The funding will be used to further promote GoStudent's internationalization and to strengthen its presence in major tutoring markets such as France, Spain, Italy, Great Britain and Ireland.

GoStudent, founded in 2016 by CEO Felix Ohswald, operates a platform connecting students with teachers worldwide for individual and group tutoring sessions. GoStudent offers paid individual courses for all school subjects via the platform. Lessons take place via the computer or via mobile devices, which means that students and tutors can see and hear each other live in a virtual room. Integrated functions such as a digital board or screen transmission are also used.

The company says it books +250,000 tutoring sessions per month from the DACH region as well as in Spain, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Ireland and Italy.

GoStudent previously raised a total of $18.6 million, 14.3 of which closed only in 2020, in two tranches - one in June and the other in November.

Total investments received (USD): 100.62M
