Grace Health, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup working on a mobile solution for period and ovulation tracking designed specifically for women in emerging markets, announced adding a pre-seed investment round. The financial details remain undisclosed.

The backers include Swedish angel investors Hampus Jakobsson, Sophia Bendz and Erik Byrenius and the money will be used to develop the service and launch it to the market.

Grace Health, founded at the end of 2017 by Thérèse Mannheimer and Estelle Joubert Westling, intend to develop a fertility tracker especially designed for women in developing countries.

The tracker is integrated in messaging services such as Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and Telegram for smartphones, acting as a chatbot that actively provides information about menstruation, health and general mood. The company firstly intends to launch its service in Ghana and then gradually roll it over other similar countries, targeting 1.2 billion women in low and middle income countries who have access to mobile phones.
