Grid completed $3.5M in seed funding in a round led by BlueYard Capital

Grid, a Reykjavik, Iceland-based company developing a SAAS product transforming excel files into web applications, announced the closing of $3.5M in seed funding.

The investment round is led by BlueYard Capital, with participation from strategic investors Slack Fund, Acequia Capital and angel investor Charlie Songhurst.

Grid, founded in 2018 by CEO Hjálmar Gíslason, works on building a software solution that makes it easy to convert spreadsheets into easy to manage web applications. The product was made available in alpha testing stage in March 2019.

Prior to this deal, Grid secured $1M from investors including Ari Helgason, Anthony Deighton, Kristín Pétursdóttir, Investa, Futuristic vc; Brunnur Ventures and 1/0 Capital.
