Holidu, a Munich, Germany-based travel startup, announced securing a €5 million ($5.9M) capital funding round.

The money, a good part of which (€4M) was raised from angel investor Kees Koolen, is an extension to the company's €40 million Series C round closed in 2019.

Holidu, founded in 2014 by Rasmus Porsgaard and brothers Johannes and Michael Siebers, developed a search engine for vacation rentals, which scans vacation rental offers from hundreds of websites and uses proprietary image recognition technology to identify the lowest price for each rental.
