Inkonova adds capital investment from Japanese drone maker Terra Drone.
Inkonova, a Stockholm, Sweden-based manufacturer of drone solutions for mines and tunnels, announced in a press release that Terra Drone, a leading Japanese commercial drone technology company, acquired a significant stake in the company.
The deal, which has the financial details undisclosed, is comprised of a cash injection, changes to the management team, as well as technical, business development, and operational collaborations.
Inkonova's products will undergo rebranding to streamline with Terra Drone products and will supply Terra Drone with its UAV core technology, including anti-dust and waterproof platforms (as in the TILT Ranger) and infrastructure-denied autonomous navigation (as in the Batonomous). On the other hane, Terra Drone, apart from financing, will employ its global clients, local offices, pilots, post-processing capacity, and broader commercial and technical domain expertise.
Inkonova AB, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Ahmed AlNomany, provides drone solutions for mines and tunnels, focusing on developing robust drones for the industrial sector. The company raised SEK 1M in 2015.
