Kameo in a SEK 66 million fundraising round backed by local investor Ilija Batljan.
Kameo, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company operating a crowdfunding platform for financial loans, announced securing a funding round of SEK 66 million ($7.8M).
The money was raised from local investor from Sweden, Ilija Batljan, who will join the board of directors with both his wife, Sanja Batljan, and daughter, Mia Batljan. With the fresh funding the company says it expects to become profitable.
Kameo, founded in 2014 by CEO Sebastian Harung, Bjørn Braathen and Urban Stärner, built a digital marketplace for crowdfunded loans to small businesses and property developers. The company previously raised funding from the Oslo, Norway-based investment bank ABG Sundal Collier.
