Lavapotion raises SEK 7M from Coffee Stain Studios, which becomes the largest owner in the company.

Lavapotion, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based gaming startup, raised SEK 7M ($830) in a new investment round. The money comes from the existing investor, Coffee Stain Studio, which becomes the majority investor in the company.

Lavapotion, founded in 2016 by Magnus Alm, is working on developing a strategy game with little other details being disclosed, as the game is still in pre-production.

Prior to this deal, Lavapotion raised SEK 3M in spring of 2017.

Coffee Stain Studios, led by CEO Anton Westbergh, is an established, Stockholm-based, gaming company which also makes investments in other small gaming studios. Besides Lavapotion, the company has backed Ghost Ship Games (Denmark) and Stunlock Studios (Sweden)
