Monterro, a Stockholm, Sweden-based B2B software investor in the Nordics announced closing in a new investment fund totalling SEK 2.5bn ($280M).

This is the third fund raised by the Swedish investment company, with 30 percent of the managed capital coming from Monterro’s founders and employees. The raising was oversubscribed by more than 45%, with investors coming mostly from institutions, and with a majority of the external capital (70 percent) from foreign investors.

Monterro, founded in 2012 and led by managing partner Thomas Bill, has made ten investments and eight add-on acquisitions in Nordic B2B software companies. The most recent investment was in Linköping-based Nordiska Entreprenadsystem, a fast-growing cloud-based software company serving the construction, maintenance, and contractor industries. The firm now manages SEK 4.3 billion, making it the largest investor in the Nordics with a focus on B2B software companies.
