MyBeat secured $870k from Almi Invest and private investors.

MyBeat, an Örebro, Sweden-based company providing local mobile services, announced in a press release closing in a SEK 8M ($870k) capital investment round.

The money was provided by a range of local investors from Norway and Sweden, including Bjørn Ole Gleditsch, Anne Gleditsch and Kari Anette Jakobsen, and was matched by a SEK 3M contribution made by Almi Invest. Funding will be used for sales, support and marketing.

MyBeat, founded in 2016 by CEO Fredrik Horn-Berlin and Tore Kristoffersen, is a low cost mobile operator, providing subscriptions in combination with refurbished mobile phones. The operator provides mobile telephony for both private and corporate customers, has about 3,500 customers and also gives its customers the opportunity to repair their mobiles through a collaboration with Mobilverkstan.
