Netrounds announces series A investment from Swisscom Ventures.

Netrounds, a Luleå, Sweden-based provider of software for communications service providers, announced the completion of a Series A investment of an undisclosed amount.

The round was led by Swisscom Ventures and the capital will be used to expand the company's global sales operations, strengthening key talent acquisition, and continued solution innovation.

In conjunction with the funding, Pär Lange, Investment Director at Swisscom Ventures, will take seat on the Netrounds board of directors.

Netrounds, founded in 2007 and led by CEO Mats Nordlund, develops an active network measurement solution for physical, hybrid and virtual networks and helping communication service providers to enhance the end user experience of IP-based services such as Internet, TV, voice and other quality-demanding business services.

The company works with more than 250 customers worldwide and is headquartered in Sweden with offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Priro to this deal, the company raised money from Swedish investors, including Norrlandsfonden, Almi Invest and Inlandsinnovation.
