Podimo announced a new round of €11.2 million in funding led by Chr. Augustinus

Podimo, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based streaming podcasts and audiobooks platform operator, announced that it raised a €11.2 million ($13.6M) capital investment round.

The money was raised from investors ld by the Danish Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker and included contributions from the Spanish investment fund Aldea, through Aldea Opportunity Fund.

Podimo, founded in 2019 by Morten Strunge (CEO), Nikolaj Koppel, Sverre Dueholm, Andreas Sachse and Eva Lægdsgaard, built a platform for streaming audio content (podcasts, audiobooks, audio series, short audio, etc.) that offers its users personalized recommendations, while supporting creators through a new distribution model of the income derived from your paid subscription service.

Currently, the Podimo app is available in Denmark, Germany and Spain, as well as in 20 countries in Latin America. Prior to this, Podimo raised €15 million in 2020 and a total of almost $24M.
