Schrott24 secured €2.8 million from Statkraft Ventures

Schrott24, a Graz, Austria-based marketplace operator for industrial metal scrap, announced that it raised the capital in a €2.8 million ($3.3M) investment round.

The money was raised from the German investor Statkraft Ventures, the investment arm for the Statkraft Group, Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy. The deal was also backed by FJ Labs and angel investor Gisbert Rühl.

Schrott24, founded in 2016 by Alexander Schlick and Jan Pannenbäcker, developed a service that aims to become the first point of contact for companies and private consumers who want to get rid of old cables, discarded pipes and the like
