Self Made is a Swedish fan-driven digital talent search platform launched by Ash Pournouri and backed by solid investors.
Self Made is a Stockholm, Sweden-based newly-launched startup providing a multi-platform music talent search entirely decided and judged by the public.
The platform was launched by Ash Pournouri, via his company At Night Management, and backed by solid investors such as H&M, Spotify, Discovery and Custos.
Self Made's objective is to provide any artist the chance to share their work. For that, starting with March 2017, people from across the world will then vote for their favorite and, based on the votes, the 21 artists who’ve become the most popular will go to the “development phase”, where they will receive online coaching from professionals. Afterwards, the top 12 will gather in the Swedish capital city of Stockholm for both studio and live sessions, highlights of which will be streamed online and broadcast on a primetime slot on Swedish TV network Channel 5.
The winners will then get a 50/50 record deal, management and $25 000 as well as songs from writers such as John Martin, Carl Falk or Rami Yacoub.
