Smartcart raises 850,000 EUR for a digitalized shopping carts SAAS.

Smartcart Ltd, a Vaanta, Finland-based startup providing a SAAS ecommerce solution, announced a 850,000€ ($900k) round of financing and share issue. The round was led by Jarkko Veijalainen and Marko Sjöman, whom together have created and are major shareholders of 3StepIT, and TEKES - the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation.

The funding enables Smartcart to continue bringing forward the ambitious vision of a renewed digitalized shopping cart that’s become the new standard, the Smartcart standard.

Smartcart, founded by Petteri Heiman, Tobias Hannus and Mikael Hirn, has developed an intelligent shopping cart solutions for retail & grocery trade.

Prior to this transaction, Smartcart raised 500,000€ in a round closed at the end of 2015.
