🇬🇧 Stride VC will not make any investments in new startups out of its second fund, until and if it raises a third fund.
- it is the second time in less than six months when Stride's Fred Destin made this announcement in the past six months.
- fwiw, their second fund was closed at £123 million in the spring of 2021.
- Stride is a generalist early stage VC, founded in London in 2018 by a Belgian - Fred Destin - and a Norwegian - Harry Stebbings - and kicking it off with a £50 million seed fund.
- Fred is a veteran VC in Europe, as he had previously worked for Accel and Accomplice (fka Atlas Venture) in London for more than a decade. In 2020, Harry jumped ship to start his own fund on top of 20VC, a podcast operation.

- General Catalyst hired Erin Schaefer as COO in the SF office, after four years spent with Niantic, and 14 others with Google, prior to.
