Gnosco, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based company providing a digital diagnostic support system for early detection of dangerous skin changes, announced securing SEK 4M ($460k) in capital investment.

The money comes from a range of Swedish angel investors, Västkusten Affärsänglar, matched with SEK 2M by Almi Invest and will be used to increase market efforts in the Nordic countries and in the UK.

Gnosco, founded in 2014 and led by CEO Daniel Eliasson, developed a digital platform called Dermicus, allowing the healthcare professional to photograph skin changes via a mobile app and then make them accessible to a dermatologist for assessment. The company claims to target a 40% decrease of skin care operations considering that in Sweden there are more than 150,000 skin changes performed annually to find around 4,000 cases of malignant melanoma.

In 2017, Gnosco was breakeven, at a sales figure of SEK 1.6M ($180k)

Total investments received (USD): 460k
