Kirk Kapital purchases a 26% shareholding position in TP Aerospace.
TPA, a Copenahgen, Denmark-headquartered aviation service company, announced entering into an investment transaction with Danish private equity company Kirk Kapital.
The deal, which has financial details undisclosed, involves the acquisition of a 26% ownership interest, by way of preference shares by Kirk Kapital. The Danish PE firm partners with the management team and Catacap which acquired a majority stake in TPA in 2017.
Following the deal, TP Aerospace Holding A/S is wholly-owned by TPA Holding I A/S and TPA Holding II A/S, which is controlled by the Danish private equity firm CataCap that together with co-investors Adveq and Kirk Kapital holds majority ownership of 80%. The founders, Peter Lyager and Thomas Ibsøe, hold a minority share of 10% each.
TPA, founded by Peter Lyager (CEO) and Thomas Ibsøe, is active as an aftermarket supplier of used serviceable wheels and brakes in the commercial aviation industry, carrying the largest ready-to-go inventory in the market.
