Mosa Meat announced a $20 million extension round.

Mosa Meat, a Maastricht, The Netherlands-based food technology company, announced that it completed a second closing of their Series B fundraising with an additional capital of $20M.

The money was raised from investors including Blue Horizon Ventures, Target Global, ArcTern Ventures, Rubio Impact Venture, and Mitsubishi Corporation. In September 2020, Mosa Meat announced an initial series B at $55 million.

The funding resources will be used to extend the company's current pilot production facility, for developing an industrial-sized production line, and hiring more people.

Mosa Meat, founded in 2015 by Mark Post and Peter Verstrate, is a cultured meat producer, developing food products in vitro cell culture of animal cells, instead of from slaughtered animals.
