Payr, an Oslo, Norway-based company operating a financial payment service, completed a NOK 5.9M ($700k) capital investment round.

The money was provided by DNB and MP Pensjon, which contributed with NOK 3.4M and a range of 50 investors recruited from the company's most active users.

Payr, founded in 2016 by Espen Grimstad (CEO), Åste Laberg and Ola Einang, started by building a service for scanning and payment of invoices and gradually developed an AI-driven marketplace for the exchange of cheaper and better providers of services such as electricity, mobile subscription, insurance and loans.

The company's platform for making invoice payments has 36,000 users.
