Sofacompany was sold to the Danish Lars Larsen Group.

Sofacompany and Scandinavian Design, a Copenhagen, Denmark based business operating a sofa brand business, announced that it was acquired by the the Danish Lars Larsen Group.

Financial details were not disclosed. The deal was made with the owners from the private equity company from Sweden Procuritas via Procuritas Capital Investors VI, which acquired the company in 2017 from the founders Cathrine and Christian Rudolph.

Sofacompany, founded in 2012 and led by CEO Henrik Andersen, operates a scalable direct-to-consumer business, developing e-commerce capabilities and fueling growth with higher and more efficient marketing spend. The company produced sales of DKK 545 million (€73 million) in 2020.
