The Modern Milkman, a Manchester, UK-based groceries e-commerce provider, announced closing a deal for getting a new capital raise in the company.

The deal was made with the American investors from Insight Partners, who were joined by existing shareholders ETF Partners and angel Simon Murphy.

Proceeds will be used for geo expansion and tech infrastructure improvements.

The Modern Milkman (TMM), founded in 2018 by CEO Simon Mellin, started out as a milk delivery service and now sells a whole range of groceries from independent and local suppliers directly to customers’ doorsteps in returnable and reusable packaging.

The Modern Milkman raised £5 million from ETF Partners in January 2021.
