Tidewave adds NOK 1.4M in investment funding for its smart mattress.

Tidewave, a Stavanger, Norway-based manufacturer of a smart mattress, secured capital investment totalling NOK 3.4M ($420k).

The money comes as grants, NOK 2M from Innovasjon Norge and Forskningsrådet, and 1.4M from private investors, including Egdir and Ove Nielsens Humanitære Stiftelse.

Tidewave, founded in 2010 by Tone Haugs and led by CEO Bjørn Sebastian Lorentzen, develops a unique and smart turning mattress that automatically turns and moves users with reduced mobility, on a self-contained time interval.
