Triton buys up KEWAB, consolidates its portfolio.

KEWAB, a Karlstad, Sweden-based supplier of excavation work and non-building construction services in the mid-western parts of part Sweden, announced entering into an agreement for selling the company to Triton Partners, a Norwegian private investment firm looking to fund medium-sized businesses. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The deal is part of Triton's strategy as it acquired also Akeab in June 2017 -  KEWAB and Akeab will be sister companies in an infrastructure services group owned by Triton and the management teams of the companies. Akeab is a leading provider of excavation services and civil works with a strong presence and market position in southern Sweden.

KEWAB, founded in 1965 by Kenneth Wahlström and led by CEO Fredrik Larsson, is a leading provider of excavation services, civil works and power network services with a strong presence and market position in the Värmland region of western Sweden and surrounding regions. The company, which has around 300 employees and offices in six locations, focuses on medium sized projects with customers ranging from national electrical power network operators to municipalities and larger construction groups.
