Veg of Lund secured SEK 11 million in capital funding

Veg of Lund, a Malmö, Sweden-based manufacturer of plant-based beverages secured SEK 11 million ($1.2M) in capital investment.

Money will be used to accelerate the company's marketing and sales of the product, which is already available for purchase from, for example, Coop and Ica. The company's board of directors is strengthened to support the expansion by adding Linda Neckmar and Torbjörn Clementz.

Veg of Lund, led by CEO Thomas Olander, has developed a vegetable saturating and useful beverage, "My Foodie", which consists of a potato and rapeseed oil base flavored with berries or fruit, and launched in 2018. Potato is one of the few raw materials full of nutrients in so to the extent that people can survive on it alone. Rapeseed oil, for its part, has an unusually high proportion of beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids, and this in a favorable relationship with the slightly less beneficial Omega-6 fatty acids. My Foodie is also free from the 14 most common allergens.
