Woom Fertility secured EUR 900k via Crowdcube and early stage investors.
Woom Fertility, a Madrid, Spain-based startup providing a health service for women via a mobile application, announced the completion of a €900k ($1M) investment round.
The funding process started with a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, where it raised £454,580 ($560k) from 145 investors, and included financial contribution from existing investors, including TheVentureCity, Toro Ventures, and business angel Miguel Haupt.
The company aims to use to proceeds for making its service available internationally and strengthen its team with new hires.
Woom Fertility, founded in by Clelia Morales and CEO Laurence Fontinoy, aims to help women conceive more quickly by accelerating the knowledge of their own body. The company built a mobile app via which customers can calculate the daily chances of pregnancy and receive as such personalized daily content. Woom makes money on a B2B business model works, as it charges the pharmaceutical industry for data / insights.
Prior to this investment round, Woom fertility had funding of roughly €700k provided by early stage institutional and angel investors from Spain, including Beatriz González, Gerard Olivé, Jesús Monléon and Diego Ballesteros.
